Our new 950 windshield was developed to help push the
airflow up and around the riders torso and helmet for a more
comfortable and tolerable street riding machine. The result is
a quieter ride and less turbulence experienced for the rider.
We have incorporated a NACA style vent into the shield, which
along with the one piece fairing type design, allow for better
airflow characteristics for the riders comfort. The windshield
is one piece unit, and bolts directly to the existing six
wellnuts on the KTM fairing. No other modifications are
necessary. The windshield also doubles as an integral
headlight guard, serving to deflect small rocks and debris
from impacting and shattering the expensive headlight of the
bike. The windshield is .187 thick, and is manufactured from
aircraft grade acrylic, and is hand polished for a nice edge
luster. A small headlight adjustment screw hole in
incorporated into the shield for headlight adjustments.
Removal and installation takes less than 5 minutes using a
standard metric allen wrench. Two heights are available,
approximately 15” & a 17” high shield. These measurements
are taken from the fairing break to the top of the shield(see
pictures). Width on both screens is about 20” at the wide
point of the shield, measuring the full contour of the screen.
The windshields are available in clear and light gray tints.
The light gray tint has 79% light transmissibility, and will
effect the output transmissibility of the headlamp, but not by
much. If you are concerned about having the most possible
light available from your headlamp, order the clear
shield.
