We
have introduced a windshield solution for the KTM LC 640 Adventure
motorcycle. We designed this windshield with the help of fellow KTM
riders, who were looking for wind protection on long tours and daily
commuting. The fairing on the KTM does little for wind protection on
the riders upper torso and helmet. We designed this shield to give the
rider similar wind protection that our other dual sport and sport
touring windshields contribute to the rider, that being enhanced upper
torso wind protection, a more quiet ride with less helmet turbulence.
Our windshield follows the stock fairing curvature, then fans out and
widens to approximately 16". The actual height of the windshield is 19"
tall, but height above the fairing is typically 9". The range of height
can vary from about 7"-11", depending on where the shield is mounted on
the fairing. The rider can vary the height when installing the shield,
or he/she can make two different sets of holes for an adjustable, two
height settings. (The rider must drill (4) holes into the upper fairing
of bike to mount the windshield.) We supply all Delrin/Nylon breakaway
hardware for mounting the windshield. Spacers keep the shield off of
the fairing and provide airflow through the trailing edge of the
windshield, which helps quiet the air for the riders comfort.
The rake of the windshield can be "tuned" by the rider by
adding/removing spacers from the fairing. All windshields are hand
crafted and manufactured from .150 aircraft grade acrylic, and polished
to a beautiful luster for years of service. RainX and RVR compatible.
All shields are available in clear, light gray, light green, and dark
gray tints.
