The new Kawasaki Concours 14 has much more area than the previous
Connie, and is more streamline shaped for better aerodynamic
efficiency. It also costs much more to replace if the headlight
assembly is broken from a thrown rock or piece of debris. The new cost
of a headlight assembly is around $400.00+. Our new impact
resistant, two piece acrylic headlight guard, can prevent the headlight
from shattering or cracking due to a direct hit on the headlight. Our
headlight guards are thermoformed and annealed, edge polished,
and is attached with (8) dual locs, which keep the guards off of the
headlight assembly by approximately 1/8”. The guards can be taken off
and on, for washing and polishing. The guards are meant to be
sacrificial, but is there to take the punishment and abuse of thrown
objects which would have impacted the headlight assembly otherwise, and
cause the headlight assembly to break. We think of it as cheap
insurance, especially at night. Comes with installation instructions
and (10) dual locs.
